Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team. As a Youth Counselor, the employee will engage children in educational programs, and educational and extracurricular activities; and, play an important role of helping children between the ages of 5 and 18, to interact in an environment that is both caring and safe.

Responsibilities:
· Support students in their learning, as directed by the virtual class teacher

· Implement and engage kids in programs as instructed by the program coordinator

· Organize and engage in age-appropriate activities

· Prepare activity logs

· Plan and supervise field trips and projects

· Assist with overseeing breakfast, lunch and snack service

· Establish routines

· Monitor and ensure that the kids are safe with proper supervision

· Assure that your room is organized and orderly

· Utilize appropriate language and positive discipline

· Participate in staff meetings

· Adapt methods to meet the interest and needs of our kids

- Clean-up properly after activities or parties

- Support administrative staff and other duties not herein described

· High School Graduate

· Creative

· Excellent organizational skills

· Patient

· Excellent Planner

· Flexible

· Superior communication skills, both verbal and written

· Excellent team builder

· Demonstrates interpersonal skills and ability to function with staff of different ages and cultural backgrounds
